Me & my guitar.

This is me and my guitar. I love my guitar.

It's a green Earthfire acoustic and I named it 'Bogie' (cause it's green like snot... comedy genius right?) I got it for my 16th birthday, so he's almost 4 years old now, my wee baby.

I've been playing guitar since I was 9 years old I think, but I've never fully stuck to it, which I regret. I can play pretty basic stuff, but I plan on getting better. If I could play guitar like anyone it would definitely be Graham Coxon. I think I'd go as far to say he's my favourite guitar player cause he's just so bloody good. Imagine being the next Graham Coxon in female formation? I wish...

I wanna be sedated.

Yay! I finally managed to watch that Ramones documentary, and it was really good actually. The Ramones were such an underrated band, they really didn't get the recognition that they deserved. It's a shame when a band gets huge after all the deaths and going defunct. Ah well at least their music will live on. I've also decided I want to go visit Joey Ramone Place when I go to New York. Just so I can stand under the sign doing a dodgy pose and to say I've actually been there.

I also want to bleach my hair blonde, not looking forward to it though. I've always wanted to go blonde for some reason, but never went through with it because I don't think I'd suit it and it's so much hassle. But yeah, I've always wanted to go for that early 90's Courtney Love look, with the platinum hair and the blood red lips. I'm just so pissed off with the black in my hair, I want completely rid of it. If you're reading this and you're thinking 'hmm I kinda want to dye my hair black', please please please make sure that you really want to do it because it is a nightmare to get rid of. I will never do it again. I would quite like to go a chocolate brown or deep red as well though. I'm not sure how I'll go about this though, my hairdresser said it would take nearly a year for it all to be done, which is really shit cause I want rid of it all NOW! :(

The dog days are over.

I'm doing something completely out of the ordinary today... I'm actually going to the gym! *SHOCK HORROR* For some reason I'm quite looking forward to it as well. Me and my cousin are forever going on about how we hate our bodies and how we look blah blah blah, so we're finally doing something about it. Yay for us! I can see it maybe lasting a day though... I've never been a gym bunny, we'll see.

I've also decided in a bid to improve my health, that I'm going to quit drinking Coca Cola. I drink way too much Coca Cola that I actually believe it's going to be the downfall of my life. It's ruining my teeth and my skin and is just overall unhealthy, so I just need to get a grip of myself and say "Claire, stop depending on Coca Cola and go out walking or something..."

In other news, I'm totally gutted that I can't get my hands on the Sid & Nancy top from Topshop, I really want one! Every store I've been in has been sold out. Hopefully I can get one off of eBay or something? *Fingers Crossed*

Also last night I decided I was going to watch a documentary on the Ramones. I'm really into the whole '70's New York Punk Scene' and love learning about the bands from that era, so I was really excited about watching this. I got my PJ's on, made hot chocolate, got some munchies and settled down to watch it on 4OD, but to my dismay the stupid thing wouldn't work!  Totally ruined my whole night! Or that's what I thought... I ended up watching the whole first season of the inbetweeners instead and oh my god I'm in love. Jay is my favourite character, I think he's brilliant. If you've never seen it, watch it! You won't stop giggling!

I swear it one day we're gonna leave this town.

Random piece of pointless information of the day... I've just realised what a creamy voice Alex Kapranos has. I was listening to 'No You Girls Never Know' by Franz Ferdinand a few days ago and I actually couldn't believe how yummy his voice was. I've never been a huge fan of the band, so i guess I've never really paid much attention before, but oh golly gosh, it's nice. Too bad I can't say the same for his looks (sorry Alex). If only his physical attributes were as sexy as his voice... he'd be rather delish!

ALSO... I am so super jealous of my best friend. She's away to London at the moment with her college class, the jammy little biatch! I know London might not be a big deal to a lot of people, but to me it's HUGE. You see, I'm from Scotland (aka most boring first world country to have existed), so I live quite a bit away from London, so it's quite a trek to get there. Plus  not to mention you have to have a bit of cash too (it's so much more expensive than here, or so I've been told). It's annoying that I can't just pop down there for a shopping day trip or whatever. People that live in or near there are so lucky! However one day I will go! I've promised myself that I will. I think it looks like such an exciting city, there's so much to do. I'd love to live there one day, just for a while... just before I move to New York City haha.

I mean, how cool would it be to live in New York City!? Seriously it's my favourite place in the world, I've never seen anywhere quite like it. I cannot wait to go back! Thankfully I'm off out there again this December for some Christmas Shopping, it's so beautiful at Christmas time! I wish I could go out there for like a couple of months though, or years... haha. Honestly though, everyone should put 'To See New York City' on their bucket list, go at least once in your life, you won't regret it (unless you hate big, busy, exciting, vibrate cities... then don't go cause you probably won't like it). I love you New York!

The model of a charmless man.

Last night I kept listening to 'High and Dry' by Radiohead on repeat and I couldn't help but fall in love with the intro of the song! Seriously it is amazing, I love it! However anyway, for some reason the song reminded me of Pete Doherty (random I know), so I ended up spending part (most) of my night looking for decent pictures of him, which might I add, there is not a lot of. But I must admit, there's something so beautiful about him, not so much physically though, just something beautiful about his whole existence and his life, or how we're led to believe he lives his life. I do enjoy his music very much; The Libertines, Babyshambles and his solo stuff are all incredibly good and it annoys me when people say he has no musical talent, because I personally think he does. I reckon a lot of people only dislike him because he's a junkie, which I know is not a good thing at all. But if I'm being honest, I find the whole junkie thing extremely alluring. I do not in anyway agree with people injecting smack into their arms, as I'm totally against drugs. I've seen the consequences first hand and they're nothing glamorous at all. But still, I can't help but be attracted to the whole junkie image he portrays, like it would make for a really great character is a tragic love story or something... hmm I don't know, I'm rambling. I guess I've just always been able to find the beauty in things that other people may find a little bit fucked up? Not that I'm saying i'm the only person who admires Pete Doherty, because I obviously am not. Anyway that's enough about Pete Doherty for today.

And remember kids: Don't Do Drugs.
